suds

Sudarshan Jagannathan, the founder and CEO of Social Travel, an innovative social enterprise that is challenging how we travel. It is one thing to understand the message of ‘Chance favors the prepared mind’, but it is entirely different to intentionally live it on a daily basis.

You could probably say that being socially conscious was in his destiny from the time that he was born, in Gandhi’s own sanctuary in Wardha, Western India. His family always encouraged him to read about the world, which obviously led to him wanting to explore the world for himself. In the last 14 years, Suds (as his friends call him) moved from India to Canada, where he has made a name for himself in the finance, telecom industries and the non-profit sector. His last role was Director of Business Development for Travelport, one of the largest travel technology companies around. Now, he has a new passion project in Social Travel. Suds’ intends for Social Travel to “become a go to hub for information related to travel, products, deals, impact on the environment, wildlife, travel as the cause for poverty in some cases and how to contribute to improving the world from an individual level”.
